What counts as a pest emergency?

Any of the following situations warrants an emergency call today — do not wait.

Rats in the kitchen or food area

Rats in a food preparation area are a public health emergency. They contaminate surfaces and food with bacteria and must be dealt with immediately. Call us before attempting to clean up.

Wasp nest near an entry point

A wasp nest at a doorway, window, or children's play area is extremely dangerous, particularly for anyone with an allergy. Same-day treatment prevents a potentially serious incident.

Bed bugs discovered overnight

Finding bed bug evidence — bites, blood spots, or live bugs — means an infestation is already established. Every night you delay, the population grows. Call us the morning you find them.

Cockroaches in a food business

A cockroach sighting in your kitchen or food prep area could trigger an EHO closure. Emergency treatment and documentation can help protect your rating and reopen safely.

Emergency pest control — FAQs

How fast can you attend an emergency in London?
For most inner and central London boroughs, we can attend within 2–4 hours of your call on the same day. In outer boroughs, same-day attendance is still our target, though we aim to confirm an arrival window when you call. We will always give you a realistic time rather than an optimistic one.
Do you charge extra for emergency same-day call-outs?
Our prices do not include a separate emergency premium in most cases. You pay a fixed treatment price that is agreed before we dispatch. We are transparent about pricing — if an emergency surcharge does apply (for example, for very late evening attendance), we will tell you upfront before you commit.
What should I do while waiting for the pest controller to arrive?
For rats or mice: do not move or disturb droppings without PPE — wear gloves if you must touch anything, as rodent droppings can carry disease. For wasps: keep the nest entrance clear and keep children and pets well away. For cockroaches: photograph evidence if possible and avoid spraying consumer products, as this can disperse the colony. For bed bugs: do not move bedding or clothing to other rooms, as this spreads the infestation.
